The 2012 Doug Yost Aerobatic Competition once again is taking place at Northwest Iowa Regional Airport. there'll be many different aircraft featured in the event, according to Tom Kearns, who's participating in the activities...

Kearns goes onto share that this wont just be a day of fly by's, ups and downs...

The participants come from all over Kearns says...

Knowing the routines is one thing, Kearns says, but knowing your plane is the big thing...

Many different planes will be a part of the event, some are quite unique, as Kearns explains...

There will be practice flights performed through out today, and the actual competition is Saturday and Sunday. Both days starting early and going until 12:30 or so.
