Spencer, IA (KICD)--Winds of change are sweeping through the Spencer Community Theatre.

Artistic Director Cara Gerlock tells KICD News that she is leaving her post to spend more time with her family.



Gerlock's favorite memories include performing Buddy Holly at the Clear Lake Winter Festival, seeing youth involvement increase at SCT, and the many volunteers she has worked with.

The other big change is Executive Director Connie Goeken will be going part time as a business manager.



Goeken, who hopes to have some more free time, points to the construction of the new theatre as a highlight.



The announcement of the new Managing Artistic Director will come during next week's SCT Volunteer Appreciation Night.
