Final Candidate Call

Spencer, IA (KICD)--The final opportunity for citizens to get on this year's general election ballot for county offices is on the horizon.

Clay County Auditor Marge Pitts tells KICD News from August 6th through August 29th, potential candidates can file to run.

One way to get on a ballot is to come up with enough signatures on a petition. The number of required signatures is one percent of a county's registered voters.

The other way to get on the ballot is to be nominated by your county's party.
