Armstrong, IA (KICD) -- There's an update to the mercury episode in Armstrong.

The incident which occurred July 21st or 22nd. in which mercury found in the basement of a house was dumped into a sandbox, and was spread over a floor in a business after the jar it was in was dropped and broke.

As far as why so much mercury was in the basement of a residence, Daly said there still was no answer.

The 12 people, including the three children who came into contact with the mercury are still being watched for any health issues.
