Wahpeton, IA (KICD) -- A Wisconsin man is arrested on drug charges.
Shortly after 11 Sunday evening, a Dickinson County Sheriffs Office Deputy made the arrest of 23-year old William L Erickson of Reedsburg Wisconsin. Erickson was found to be in possession of plant material - to wit: marijuana, and drug paraphernalia while in Gull Point State Park in Wahpeton. Erickson was booked into the Dickinson County Jail, on a $1000 bond.
Assisting in the incident was the Iowa Department of Natural Resources - Lake Patrol.
Strom Lake, IA (KICD)--A Storm Lake woman is jailed for threatening her husband with a knife.
Police were called to the disturbance Monday night. On scene it was discovered that a husband and wife had allegedly engaged in a physical altercation and had assaulted each other. 22-year-old Sorayda Godoy allegedly armed herself with a kitchen knife and threatened her husband, 34-year-old Miguel Salazar, with the knife.
Godoy was charged with Domestic Assault While Displaying a Weapon. Salazar was charged with Domestic Assault. Both were held in Buena Vista County jail and held without bond
George, IA (KICD)--Two from Sibley face numerous charges following a Saturday morning mishap in Lyon County.
28-year-old Cesar Segura crossed the center line on County Road A-34 and was sideswiped by a semi truck. His pickup went into a ditch, through a fence, and came to rest in a bean field.
Segura was taken to Sanford of Rock Rapids Hospital and then later arrested and charged with the following: Driving with No Drivers License, Crossing the Center Line, and Failure to Have Insurance. As alcohol was a factor, further charges are pending.
Segura's passenger, Antonio Mares, fled the scene on foot. He was picked up up later in the day and was arrested on a class D felony count of Falsifying Public Documents for having in his possession fake identification and social security card.
George Fire and Rescue assisted Lyon County Deputies on scene.
Little Rock, IA (KICD)--A Friday afternooon accident lands a Worthington woman in the hospital.
17-year-old Courtney Faragher was heading southbound on Marsh Avenue north of Little Rock at approximately 12:45 p.m. She she lost control of her 2002 Ford Focus, went into the east ditch and rolled the vehicle numerous times, coming to rest on it's top.
Faragher was taken to the Sibley Hospital and then transported to Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls with non-incapacitating injuries.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Little Rock Fire Department and the Little Rock Ambulance.
