Spencer, IA: (Jul 27, 2012) - A national sheep program is being held in Spencer this week. The National Sheep Symposium gets underway Friday afternoon at the Regional Events Center on the Clay County Fairgrounds.
Iowa State University Extension Sheep Specialist Dr. Dan Morrical was instrumental in putting the program together. He says speakers at the Symposium are among the best in the industry.

Morrical says he believes the key to profitability going forward is efficiency.
The Symposium is being held in conjunction with the National Sheep Improvement Program Center of the Nation Sale, which will take place Saturday at the Livestock Pavilion on the Clay County Fairgrounds.
