Spencer, IA (KICD)--The city's role in Spencer's quest to become a Blue Zones community is laid out during Monday night's gathering of the Committee of the Whole.

Allison Simpson tells KICD News they had to come up with a number of initiatives for the city to move forward with.



City Manager Bob Fagen says that many of the aforementioned items are already in the works.



Simpson says that this is all about offering choices.



As previously noted on KICD News, 20 percent of Spencer citizens must register for the Blue Zones pledge to help move this certification process forward.
