Spencer, IA: (July 16, 2012) - Iowa Governor Terry Branstad & Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds will hold a public meeting in Mount Pleasant on TUESDAY on the severe drought conditions that have plagued Iowa this summer.
A spokesman for the Governor’s office says they’ll talk about coordination between the state and federal governments and potential action steps that may be taken.
The public meeting will feature officials from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, the U.S. Department of Agriculture as well as representatives of other state and federal agencies.
