Des Moines-Emmetsburg, IA (MTN-KICD)--Iowa's state-licensed tracks and casinos had their best financial year ever in 2012, posting nearly one-point-five-billion dollars in revenue.

Officials cite the new Grand Falls Casino and a return of consumer confidence among Iowans, who spent their entertainment dollars closer to home.  Grand Falls posted over $57.391 million in revenue. 

The WIld Rose Casino in Emmetsburg had a nice year as well with over $31.930 million in revenue which is up nearly $1.2 million from the previous year.

Wild Rose General Manager Amy Rubel tells KICD News says this was made possible due to the local patrons.



In addition to adding new slot machines regularly , there have been a number of capital improvements in the past year.



Rubel says their slogan sums everything up.



State casino and track revenues were up some three-percent over 2011.
