Spencer, IA (KICD)--Minor injuries are reported following a two car accident at the North Y Friday night.
Clay County Deputies were dispatched to the mishap at 6:22 Friday evening. It was determined that 60-year-old Brian Banks of Spencer was heading south on Highway 71 in a 1990 Cadillac Deville. Banks attempted to turn east onto Highway 18 and was struck by a northbound 2006 Chrysler 300 driven by 79-year-old Laura Kirk of Estherville.
A minor laceration was reported by Ronald Shipley, a passenger of Kirk’s Vehicle. Banks also reported minor injuries. Banks was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
Spencer Police and Paramedics assisted on scene.
Sibley, IA (KICD)--A George man is injured after running out of road.
Last Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, 59-year-old Lynn Grotluschen was driving a 2007 Harley Davison motorcycle northbound on Northwest Boulevard. He did not see warning signs indicating the road ahead ended at the intersection of 180th Street and collided with the dead end barricades.
Grotluschen sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to the Osceola Community Hospital by Sibley Ambulance.
Algona, IA (KICD)--Two are injured in a Saturday evening motorcycle accident in Kossuth County.
The Iowa State Patrol says 50-year-old Allen Ness of Sioux Falls w as heading west on County Road P-54. He failed to negotiate the curve at 240th Street and landed in the west ditch.
Ness suffered incapacitating injuries and was taken to Kossuth Regional Hospital by Ambulance along with a passenger, 50-year-old Peggy Bundy. Ness was cited for failure to maintain control.
Algona, IA (KICD)--Three are hospitalized following a two motorcycle mishap in Kossuth County Saturday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says 45-year-old Larry Dickes of Hartington, Nebraska was stopped on Highway 18 watign to turn left into Fareway in Algona shortly before 1:00. At this time Dickes' 2004 Harley Davidson was rear-ended by a 2002 BMW motorcycle driven by 29-year-old James Monson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Both drivers and a passenger on the Dickes motorcycle, 42-year-old Tammie Dickes, were all ejected. All three were taken to Kossuth Regional Hospital by Algona Ambulance.
Rock Rapids, IA (KICD)--A Rock Rapids man is injured following an early Saturday morning motorcycle mishap.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office says 31-year-old Brian DeWild lost control of his 1994 Honda CRB600, entered a ditch, and rolled several times.
DeWild was taken to Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids with incapacitating injuries.
Everly, IA (KICD)--A Texas teen is arrested for threatening another teen.
Clay County Deputies were called to a home in Everly early Friday evening to a report of a 14-year-old male threatening a 16-year-old female from Royal with a knife.
A referral was made to juvenile court for assault with a dangerous weapon. The boy was released to the custody of a grandparent.
No injuries were reported.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A group of seven from Storm Lake are charged with Rioting.
On Sunday night Storm Lake Police were dispatched to the Emergency Room at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in reference to a person who had arrived at the facility who had been assaulted. The man reported that while playing basketball in Chautauqua Park a group of men who had been involved in the basketball game rushed the victim and a second male and allegedly assaulted them. It was reported to police that at least 8 or more men assaulted the victims.
After investigation 41-year-old Bee Xiong, 26-year-old Cheng Fang, 19-year-old Arnold Xiong, 25-year-old Kong Meng Xiong, 24-year-old Si Fang and 31-year-old Pao Fang were all charged with Rioting, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and Disorderly Conduct. All were held in Buena Vista County jail on a $3,300 cash bond each, 18-year-old Justin Fang was charged with Rioting and Disorderly Conduct and held on a $2,300 bond.
The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are anticipated.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A Chicago man is arrested by an on patrol Storm Lake Police Officer early Sunday morning.
The officer intervened after allegedly seeing two people allegedly assaulting three victims in front of La Juanita’s. One of the suspects, 17-year-old Denzel Scott fled on foot.
It is alleged that Scott and the second suspect attempted to cut into a line of people that were waiting for food service at La Juanita’s. When they were refused entry into the line they waited for the people who denied them entry to the line to exit the establishment at which time they assaulted a male victim and two female victims. The male victim was knocked to the ground and unconscious. He was treated at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and later released.
Scott was arrested on two counts of Assault, Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Disorderly Conduct. He was processed and released to his mother who was on location. A Juvenile Court date is pending.
Police searched the area for the second suspect but were unable to locate him. He has been identified and authorities are seeking warrants for his arrest.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A Storm Lake woman is jailed on multiple charges.
On Saturday afternoon Storm Lake Police were called to a report of 30-year-old Charlene Smith attempting to break out the windows on a vehicle. it is alleged that Smith got into an argument with a male acquaintance over money and allegedly assaulted the man and refused to exit his vehicle.
Following an investigation police charged Smith with Public Intoxication 3rd Offense, Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass. She was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $2,900 cash bond.
Spencer, IA (KICD)--A wanted man is arrested following a Saturday morning traffic stop by the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
26-year-old Donald Lamont of Galva was wanted on a Buena Vista County warrant for 2nd degree theft. Lamont was cited for not proof of insurance and released after posting the $5,000 cash or surety bond for the warrant.
Spencer, IA (KICD)--An early Sunday morning traffic stop by a Clay County Deputy leads to OWI and drug charges.
The drivern, 30-year-old Annika Sorneson of Spencer was charged with O.W.I., Excessive Speed, and Failure to Have a Valid Drivers License. Her passenger, 32-year-old Santana Holcomb III was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Both were held in Clay County jail to appear before a judge.
