Katy Perry making big travel plans for summer break

Katy Perry has big dreams to spend her fortune on whimsical summer trips around the world when her current list of commitments end at the beginning of August.

The busy pop superstar admits she has nothing on her schedule after Aug. 1, and she hopes to go globetrotting with pals like Rihanna.

The "I Kissed a Girl" singer says, "As of August 1st, I don't have one thing planned... My friends are finally gonna call and be like, 'Hey, you wanna do lunch,' and I'm (gonna be) like, 'Yeah, I can do lunch, finally.'"

"There was thing I did when I was a little kid... you play with the globe and they put their finger on it and they close their eyes and they see where their finger ends up and I wanna do that kind of adult version - and actually go there: spin it, put my finger (down) and, 'Ooh, Uganda... S**t!'"

"I wanna have these life adventures and experiences that are not related to work, so that I can come back after I've done that and make another, hopefully, good record."

And she is taking her bid for global adventure seriously, adding, "I'm planning a wilderness adventure where you go out for the weekend and you learn how to hunt and gather and then make fire."

Perry made a start on her travels during an appearance on U.S. show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday when she was presented with a spinning globe and agreed to make her first destination pick by the host.

Joking, "Please God, not Russia!" the singer landed off the coast of Brazil and stated, "I'll go there!"
