Dakon Shulz is the Iowa Department of Transportation's Transportation Planner for District 3 which is northwest Iowa. After yet another accident shortly before noon today (Friday) at the intersection of Highway 71 and Highway 18 north of Spencer, officials have decided to make several changes .

Schulz says it's real easy to just check the near lane for traffic when one is used to four lanes, but while the project is going on, all drivers crossing the through highway, need to check and double check both ways.
