Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--A LeMars woman is taken to the hospital following a noon hour mishap in Spirit Lake Thursday.
Spirit Lake Police says 49-year-old Darcy Heebner of Spirit Lake was making a left turn onto Highway 9 in a 2003 Ford Taurus from Highway 71.  She did not see 55-year-old Daniel Holcomb of LeMars as he was heading north on 71 on his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle.  Heebner's vision was blocked by a vehicle in the outside lane and she turned into Holcomb's path.

A passenger on Holcomb, Sheila Holcomb, was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare.

Heebner was cited for failure to yield and no insurance.

Sheldon, IA (KICD)--A report of illegal drugs at the Residential Treatment Facility in Sheldon leads to charges against two area men.

After investigation by the Sioux County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday 34-year-olds Clarence Paulsen of Spirit Lake and Jesse Armstrong of Spencer were arrested for possession of contraband in a correctional facility after K2/Spice was found in
their room.  The charge is classified as a class D felony.
