Spencer, IA (KICD)--A Spencer man receives a 5-year suspended prison sentence in connection to a burglary at the Spencer Hardee's.

Online court documents show 27-year-old Stephen Mack pleaded guilty to a class D felony count of 3rd degree burglary in Clay County District Court on Monday.  In April cash and coins were taken after a small window was broken at the restaurant with attempted entry into the store's safe.

Mack will serve probation and was ordered to pay a $750 fine and owes nearly $400 in restitution to Hardee's.

A second person involved in the break in, 24-year-old Terrance Jackson, faces a 3rd degree burglary charge in connection to the incident.  He is slated for a plea taking and sentencing on July 2nd.
