Spencer, IA: (May 29, 2012) - The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) recently hosted a showcase in which companies exhibited beef, pork and lamb items to more than 100 meat buyers representing 12 international markets.
USMEF Chair-Elect Steve Isaf says the product showcase gave exporters a unique opportunity for U.S. meat exporters.
Many of the international buyers attending the showcase were part of regional trade teams with mixed interest in the meat products. Some were chefs, others restaurant owners.
USMEF Senior Vice President for the Asia Pacific Region Joel Haggard talks about what the trade team members saw.
The showcase was at last week’s meeting of the U.S. Meat Export Federation in New Orleans.
