Jackson, MN (KICD)--A Saturday afternoon motorcycle mishap turns fatal for a husband and wife from Sheldon.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office received a report on the accident at approximately 5:47 p.m. on County Road 4 near 480th Avenue in Minneota Township.  35-year-old Brian Englekes was heading west on 4 with his wife, 39-year-old Michelle, when his 2011 Harley Davidson entered the north ditch and struck a driveway embankment.  Both were ejected and not wearing helmets.

After being taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare the couple was airlifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.  Michelle passed away Monday.  Brian is still listed in critical condition. 

Lakefield Fire and Rescue assisted on scene of the accident which remains under investigation.
