Justin Bieber recruits Carly Rae Jepsen as opening act

Justin Bieber has given Carly Rae Jepsen another career boost by inviting her to serve as the opening act on his upcoming tour.

The "Baby" hitmaker and his manager Scooter Braun recently signed the aspiring singer to his label Schoolboy Records and Bieber gave Jepsen a leg up on the chart competition by appearing in one of two promos for her song "Call Me Maybe" with girlfriend Selena Gomez and their pal Ashley Tisdale.

The 26 year old's career subsequently skyrocketed and now Bieber has again shown his support for the rising star by recruiting Jepsen, who performed alongside her record boss at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, to be a special guest on his Believe concert tour this autumn.

Announcing the news in a post on his Twitter account on Wednesday, he wrote, "@carlyraejepsen is coming on the #BELIEVEtour !!"

Bieber will kick off his North American trek in Glendale, Arizona on Sept. 29, and wrap up in Miami on Jan 26.
