Spencer, IA (CCF)--The Clay County Fair has landed the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, Jeff Foxworthy, for the 2012 Clay County Fair. In addition to his redneck jokes, Jeff Foxworthy will explore the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature on the Grandstand stage at the 2012 Clay County Fair on Sunday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m.
“A night of side-splitting laughter will be the perfect way to cap off the 2012 Clay County Fair,” said CCF Manager Jeremy Parsons. “It is an honor to bring of comedian of Jeff Foxworthy’s caliber to Spencer.”
A multiple Grammy Award nominee and best-selling author of more than 26 books, Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country. He was the host of the television hit show Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader and executive produced and starred in Foxworthy’s Big Night Out.
Foxworthy also starred in and produced the television series, Blue Collar TV, which he created for the WB network. Blue Collar TV was created due to the success of Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie and the concert tour of the same name. The movie premiered on Comedy Central and was the highest rated movie in the channel’s history. To date, the movie has sold more than 4 million units.
