Sibley, IA (KICD)--An immigration detainer is placed on a Sibley man Thursday.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office arrested 28-year-old Rigoberto Niz-Chavez for Failure to Have a Valid Driver’s License and Failure To Prove Security Against Liability.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a detainer on Niz-Chavez and is currently being held at the Osceola County Jail.

The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop in Sibley for an equipment violation.

Sheldon, IA (KICD) -- Three Sheldon men were arrested after breaking into a motel room.

   The Sioux County Sheriff's Office responded to the call late Wednesday evening, to the Sheldon Motel, at 500 West Park Street, in reference to a disturbance.

   Upon arrival, officers found a room had been broken into by three individuals, causing damage to one of the doors.

   Officers arrested 21-year old Mateo Carmelo-Gomez, on Public Intoxication charges, 25-year old Andres Carmelo-Gomez, on charges of Supplying Alcohol to a Person Under the Legal Age, Public Intoxication and 5th degree Criminal Mischief.  Also arrested was 19-year old Lucas Ramos-Lucas, on Possession of Alcohol Under the Legal Age.
