Spencer, IA: (Jan. 23, 2012) - Enrollment for the 2012 Farm Program began today. Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices throughout Iowa and Minnesota will start signing people up today for the latest round of the Direct & Counter-cyclical Program (DCP) and the Average Crop Revenue Election (ACRE) program.

As Stuckenbroker noted, there are no advance payments this year. But he says producers should not use that as a reason to delay signup until the June 1st deadline.
Stuckenbroker says producers can alert the County Office to changes in their farming operations when they come in to sign-up.
Due to budget constraints, Stuckenbroker says FSA County offices won’t be sending reminder postcards this year.
