Worthington Domestic Abuse

Worthington, MN (KICD) — A Worthington man is jailed on multiple charges after a domestic abuse incident.

40-year old Earnest Anderson faces charges of domestic abuse for violating a no-contact order, domestic assault and contempt of court due to willful disobedience to a court mandate. Early Saturday morning, Worthington Police responded to a report that Anderson allegedly violated a domestic abuse no-contact order in the 1000 block of Eighth Avenue.

Police were told by the reporting party, that her ex-husband, Anderson, had abused her, and officers did notice marks on the victim’s chest, arms, face and back.

Officers canvassed the area, but were unable to locate Anderson. Then, on Monday morning, he turned himself in.

Anderson told police he has a separation order with the victim, and that he was not there over the weekend because he was working. He also claimed the victim has previously hit herself and called the police.

Anderson already has charges against him from an earlier incident, in Nobles County, and has a prior conviction on sexual and domestic violence related items. He’s to make his first court appearance on the charges this month.
