On Monday, 23-year old Junior T. Montejo Flandes was charged with 3rd and 4th degree criminal sexual conduct charges, linked to a case involving a complaintant at 13 years old but under 16 years old.
On Sunday night, Worthington Police were dispatched to 1200 Seventh Avenue, regarding an underage female at Flandes’s residence, according to court documents.  Upon arrival, officers were met by Gregory and Josephine Montejo, who confirmed Flandes had a girl upstairs.
Upon entering the bedroom, officers saw a female lying on the bed.   The victim told officers in a statement she lied to Flandes about her age.  It’s reported the victim came to his residence and stayed after having an argument with her mother.
She was taken to Sanford Worthington Hospital, where a sexual assault kit was completed and clothing also collected as evidence.  Flandes was arrested and taken to Nobles County Jail, where he gave a statement to police, saying he didn’t know the victim’s actual age, and denied having sex with her..
Flandes remains jailed awaiting an initial appearance in court.
