Warburton Earns Police Chief Recommendation

Spencer, IA (KICD)–Spencer Mayor Reynold Peterson has made his choice on who should be the new Police Chief.

Lt. Mark Warburton has filled in a Interim Chief since April and is more than pleased to take on the full time post.

The transition to Warburton should be a smooth one, but he does have a few changes in mind.

The Spencer City Council still must approve the hiring of Warburton before the move is official.  The starting salary is roughly $72,500.  Warburton is slated to officially take over as Spencer Police Chief on July 1st
