Toby Shine Honored For Veterans Donation

West Okoboji, IA (KICD)–A special ceremony was held on Sunday to honor Toby Shine for generating over $1 million dollars for Veterans health care for Veterans returning to their homes and needing medical care.

Governor Terry Branstad was among those in attendance.

Shine sold a restored Dodge M37 three-quarter-ton truck and a 1959 Cessna L-19E Bird Dog earlier this year at the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction in Scottsdale.

The $1.1 million donation went to the Armed Forces Foundation, which assists veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
