Sibley, IA (KICD)–Numerous felony theft charges have been levied against a former Osceola County Deputy.

52-year-old Michael Block is alleged to be in possession of stolen property from Osceola, O Brien, Sioux, and Lyon Counties. On March 21st an Osceola County Deputy was investigating the theft of some hay bales. This led to the application and execution of five search warrants at Block’s acreage on Highway 59 and his residence in Sibley. Investigating officers seized a New Holland baler, wagons, construction equipment, trailers, four motor vehicles, and other items.

Block is charged with seven class C felony counts of Theft in the First Degree, ten class D felony counts of Theft in the Second Degree and one count each of Theft in the 3rd and 4th Degree.
