Sudbeck Hearing


Estherville, IA (KICD) — A preliminary hearing for an Estherville man charged with 1st degree murder has been set.
  35-year old Scott Sudbeck is charged in the fatal shooting of 30-year old Michaela Jordan on February 26th, at a residence.
  According to on-line court records, Sudbeck didn’t have an answer when he was asked if he wanted a preliminary hearing in the case.  Sudbeck wanted to talk with his attorney first.  Beings he didn’t wave his right to a preliminary hearing, it has been scheduled for 10-am this Friday, in Emmet County District Court.

Sudbeck remains in the Emmet County Jail on a $2,000,000 cash only bond.

Sudbeck will also have a date in court on a separate case, He is charged with one count of lascivious acts with a child and two counts of indecent contact with a child.  That jury trial is set for June 24th, at 9:30-am, also in Emmet County District Court, with a pre-trial conference May 28th, at 9:30-am.
