Storm Lake House Fire

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)–The Storm Lake Fire Department was called to a Storm house fire with nobody inside Thursday night.

The fire was observed around a rear entryway at the home when personnel arrived on scene shortly after 7:00. The blaze was quickly extinguished and a small dog was rescued from the smoke filled home. The cause of the fire was ruled electrical in nature.

The fire department was on scene for 2.75 hours and the fire, smoke and water damage is estimated at $10,000.
