Spencer Vehicle Theft

Spencer, IA (KICD) — A Spencer man is arrested after a reported vehicle theft.
  Early Wednesday morning, Spencer Police were informed of a stolen vehicle.  It was reported a male had taken a silver Dodge pckup from the 400 block of 25th Street SW.  A short time later, an officer saw a male matching the description, he attempted to stop and speak with him, but the suspect fled.  He was captured after a short pursuit.
  The suspect, 18-year old Matthew Folkens was arrested and charged with OWI, Operation Without Owners Consent, and Interference With Official Acts.  He was booked into the Clay County Jail.
  The stolen pickup was located near where Folkens was found, and had minor damage from striking several mailboxes.
