Spencer Summer Code Reminders

Spencer Summer Code Reminders

Spencer, IA (KICD)–As the calendar has flipped to June Spencer residents are being reminded of some upkeep requirements.

Assistant Planning Director Robyn Larsen says you cannot have grass or weeds taller than eight inches.

Larsen says they will start looking at trees in the South Forestry District to make sure the branches are high enough off the ground.

If a tree is too low the property owner will be sent a letter stating that they have 30 days to trim them to compliance.

Some other items against city code include having RV’s over 22 feet sitting in front yards, having unlicensed or inoperable vehicles parked, and having items such as old appliances and furniture in yards.
