Spencer Snow Ordinance In Effect

Spencer, IA (KICD)–With snow accumulation of over two inches in Spencer today, citizens are reminded of the city’s snow ordinance.

Non-compliance is an automatic $100 fine which may or may not include the cost of the tow. Citizens are asked to let any out of town visitors know of the ordinance.
Those without off street parking are encouraged to use public city lots or ask those with a private lot or driveway for permission to park overnight. Vehicles must be off all streets and alleys from midnight-7:00 a.m.

On Saturday business owners will have 12 hours to clear their sidewalks of snow with 24 hours allowed for citizens.
