Spencer Police Reports

Spencer, IA (KICD)–Spencer Police are asking for help in connection to a stolen car that was later found on fire.

Authorities were called to Burger King shortly after 4:00 Tuesday afternoon to a report of a missing blue 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier.  The victim stated she left the vehicle parked at 2:30 p.m., unlocked, with the keys in the ignition.  Shortly after taking the report, police responded to the Ace Rental Storage units for a vehicle fire.

Spencer Fire then responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze inside the car.  Arson is suspected.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Spencer Police.

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A Spencer woman was arrested after driving into a convenience store.

Spencer Police say 60-year-old Georgia Adams drove her Ford Edge through the front wall of the Casey s Store at 411 West 18th Street around 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday.  It was determined that Adams was under the influence of alcohol.

Adams was charged with OWI 2nd Offense and Driving While Revoked.  She was booked into Clay County Jail.

The building sustained approximately $10,000 damage as a result of the collision.  No injuries were reported.
