Spencer Police K-9 Passes

Spencer, IA (KICD) — A recently retired 3 and a half year veteran of the Spencer Police has passed.
  Spencer Police Chief Mark Lawson announced Tuesday morning, that the K-9 Dino passed away around 3-pm Tuesday, with his handler by his side.  On Friday, the Spencer Police Department held a retirement for Dino, who had been battling cancer, since approximately June of this year.
  He said that upon Dino’s passing, the department will go through the process of obtaining another dog, and said having the K-9 Dino has helped the department greatly.
  Finding the next K-9 unit will take some time to go through the process.
