Spencer High School Fine Arts Design Unveiled

Spencer High School Fine Arts Design Unveiled

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Spencer School Board approved the general schematic design for a new fine arts center and auditorium at the high school this week.

Registered Architect Courtney Koch with Cannon Moss Brygger Architects tells KICD News that they were able to keep a student commons area in the design that would also function as the event entry for any athletic events or performances.

After discussion the idea of sharing an instrument and vocal music area was scrapped in favor of two separate spaces.

Timeline wise the project will likely be sent out for bids in August, with a groundbreaking in the fall, and completion anticipated in the middle of November in 2015.
