Spencer Council Approves Spending

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The Spencer City Council approved spending on a number of items at their Tuesday meeting.

The roof on the new Police Department building, the smaller building, is in need of replacement according to City Manager Bob Fagen.

The bid for the project came in at $32,888 from Hahn Roofing. The council also approved a bid for just under $46,000 for the City Hall roofing project.

A new curb will be installed on the east side of North School Park to help keep vehicles off of the trail at an increase of over $6,400 for the total project.

The council also approved the purchase of a Transfer Trailer for the solid waste division for over $63,000. This was included in the annual CIP plan.
