Spencer Black Hills Franchise Agreement

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A public hearing on the renewal of a 25-year natural gas franchise agreement with Black Hills Energy passed with no objections at Monday night’s Spencer City Council session.

Black Hills Energy Program Manager Denise Teeple was on hand.

City staff met with Black Hills Energy to review the proposed ordinance and after a few minor tweaks feel this agreement serves the Citizens of Spencer well.

Following the public hearing the first reading of an ordinance granting another 25-year agreement with Black Hills passed unanimously.  Two more readings will take place at future council meetings.
