SMU Winter Electric Cost

SMU Winter Electric Cost

Spencer, IA (KICD)—Spencer Municipal Utilities residential electric rates were up a bit this year due to the coldest winter in decades.

SMU Marketing & Communications Director Amanda Gloyd tells KICD News that over 1.3 million more kilowatt hours were on the books this February than last year.

While the weather impacts usage, another important consideration is efficiency.
