Skate Park Safety Solutions

Skate Park Safety Solutions

Spencer, IA (KICD)– The Spencer skate park is getting some extra attention to make it a safer place for all in the community.

Spencer Police Chief Mark Warburton tells KICD News that they installed a remote camera that transmits back to the Communications Center and is recorded.

New signage which clearly states the rules is currently being constructed and anyone who breaks the rules three times will be barred from all city parks for one calendar year. Warburton says they are also in the planning stages of putting up a fence around the skate park.

As far as any bullying issues at the skate park Warburton encourages parents to help take control of the situation.
