Sioux Rapids, IA (KICD)– A group of citizens in Sioux Rapids are pushing for a new town playground.

Lacy Hale tells KICD News that the current park is around 32 years old and it’s time for some new equipment.

A fundraising goal of $100,000 has been set with a two year timeline for Sioux Rapids Project Playground. A fundraising event will take play during Tall Corn Days on Saturday from 11-6 this Saturday.
