Sioux Central Earns National Recogntion

Sioux Rapids, IA (KICD)–Sioux Central High School has been named the 15th best high school in Iowa by U.S. News and World Report.

Superintendent Scott Williamson tells KICD News that the high number of students taking AP courses stood out.

Williamson says taking college level courses in a more nurturing environment can be helpful for the students.

MOC-Floyd Valley was the only other school in the region to be ranked in the top 21 statewide. U.S. News and World Report evaluated from the 21,000 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia for this study.
