Sheldon Rosenboom Fire

Sheldon Rosenboom Fire

Sheldon, IA (KICD)– Fire crews were called to Rosenboom Machine & Tool in Sheldon last (Thursday) night.

Sheldon Fire Chief Jerry Meyer says they were able to quickly extinguish the blaze after spotting thick smoke coming out of the overhead doors in the production area. The fire was located and contained in a large filter enclosure that was in the process of being removed. The filters inside the enclosure caught fire when a worker was cutting hole with a cutting torch to aid in the enclosures removal.

The Sanborn Fire assisted with manpower and crews were on scene for about an hour. There were no injuries and a dollar loss is unavailable at this time.
