Sheldon, IA (KICD) — Investigation into the burglary of Sheldon businesses continues.

Sheldon Police took the report of a burglary at Langer’s Bar and Grill, along with Cook’s Cafe, on August 7th. The two businesses are in the same building, A door was broken out to Cook’s Cafe, and upon entry, the suspects took cash from gaming machines, cash registers and a cash box. The total amount taken was over $2200. The amount of damage to the door and the cash register was $1425.

Another burglary was reported on August 8th, at J & B Bar. The front and back doors were both damaged by the suspects. Once inside, cash was removed from games and a music machine. The total amount taken was $951.75, and damage to the machines totalled $360. The investigation continues, and anyone with information regarding either or both of the incidents is asked to contact the Sheldon Police.
