Sexual Abuse Arrest


Albert City, IA (KICD) — An Albert City man is arrested on sex abuse charges.
  On Friday, the Pocahontas County Sheriffs Office received a report of alleged sexual abuse from the Department of Human Services.  After investigation, 42-year old Matthew Gritten was arrested on the incident which occured January 15th, which alleged Gritten sexually abused a child under the age of 12.
  He was charged with 2 counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse, class B felonies, and 2 counts of lascivious acts with a child, class C felonies.  Gritten is being held in the Pocahontas County Jail on a bond of $120,000.
  Also assisting in the investigation was the Pocahontas County Attorney’s Office and the Child Advocacy Center.
