Semi Collision

Hull, IA (KICD) — A Boyden man is injured in a collision of two semis.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred shortly before 7-am Thursday, at the intersection of Highway 18 and Highway 75, two miles west of Hull.  A westbound 2007 Kenworth, driven by 60-year old Mark Roti of Freeman, South Dakota was pulling a milk tank trailer on Highway,18 and had stopped at the stop sign at Highway 75.
As Roti went to make a left turn onto Highway 75, the rear of the milk tank trailer was hit by a northbound 2001 Peterbilt pulling a feed tank trailer, driven by 26-year old Mark Mulder.  Mulder received minor injuries and sought medical attention on his own.  The milk tank trailer received an estimated $4000 in damage, while the Peterbilt received around $13,000 in damages.
Roti was cited for failing to yield from a stop sign, and failure to comply with safety/logbook regulations.  Assisting at the scene was the Iowa State Patrol.
