SCT 2nd Season Auditions

Spencer, IA (KICD)–Spencer Community Theater’s Second Season, Spare Change Theatre, is premiering its first-ever Short Play Festival this March.
SCT Managing Artistic Director Even Hilsabeck tells KICD News that they are hosting auditions this weekend for the five short plays by new award-winning playwrights Kyle John Schmidt and Nicholas C. Pappas and established playwrights such as Christopher Durang and Will Eno.

Hilsabeck says the rehearsal schedule is very laid back.

Hilsabeck describes the plays as a bit “edgy.”

Auditions will be held Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at the SCT Playhouse this weekend.  Auditions last approximately two hours, and SCT asks those auditioning to allow themselves a little extra time prior to auditions to fill out an audition form. Doors to the theatre will open half an hour before the scheduled audition time.
Directors for the five pieces are Cara
Gerlock, Matt Brandenberg, Kylan Ranslow, and Kella Klinker-Simonin.
