S.E.R.T. Building Ribbon Cutting Held

Estherville, IA (KICD)–The “green” ribbon cutting for the Sustainable Energy Resources and Technologies building on the Estherville campus of Iowa Lakes Community College was held this morning.

Director of Facilities Management Dee Hiney gave KICD News details on some of the features of the S.E.R.T. structure.

Hiney says there are also skylights above the Nacelle in the center of the building.

The S.E.R.T. facility will house six “green” programs at the college including, Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, HVAC, Water Quality and Sustainable Aquatic Resources, Environmental Studies , and addition Wind Energy and Turbine Technology classes.
