Red Cross Helping Displaced

Sioux City, IA (KICD)–Volunteers from the Northwest Iowa Area are now providing assistance to more than 10 people displaced in a hotel fire in Storm Lake on Monday night. This is in addition to overnight sheltering provided to people in Cherokee, Rock Rapids, and Rock Valley.

The Red Cross anticipates sheltering again tonight in the communities of Rock Valley and Rock Rapids and will be working with local partners to provide meals to the community and response workers in the area. The Red Cross continues to monitor other communities in anticipation of additional flooding across northwest Iowa.
