Primghar OWI Accident

Primghar, IA (KICD)– A Spencer woman faces charges in connection to an OWI accident that landed a Primghar man in the hospital.

The O’Brien County Sheriff says 37-year-old Megan Verdoorn and 25-year-old James Martinez were both heading in the same direction in Primghar in the 9:00 hour Friday night. Verdoorn then pulled onto the shoulder and as Martinez was continuing around her Verdoorn re-entered the roadway to head south. The front of her car was then struck by Martinez’s motorcycle.

Verdoorn fled on foot and showed up about five minutes later. She was charged with OWI 1st offense and making an unsafe turn.

Martinez was taken to the Primghar Hospital with possible injuries
