Primary Primer

Spencer, IA (KICD)–The deadline to pre-register for the upcoming June 3rd primary is this Friday.

Clay County Auditor Marge Pitts tells KICD News that pre-registration is designed for citizens who are not registered at all, or to a party.

Pitts says not all is lost if you forget to pre-register, as same day registration is available at your voting precinct.

Locally in Clay County there are five Republican candidates up for three open seats on the Clay County Board of Supervisors.  A listing of precinct locations and maps are available on the Clay County website.

A public test of polling equipment will take place at 10:00 on May 28th at the Clay County Administration Building.

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. on June 3rd.
