Pioneer Theatre In Trouble

Milford, IA (KICD)–The Pioneer Theatre in Milford has been shut down since the start of the new year.
Owner Sharon Mayer tells KICD News it has been a tough winter and hard to keep the building heated.

When Mayer purchased the theater over a decade ago she did it more for the passion than making a profit.

Mayer doesn’t want to have to keep the doors closed and is open to all options.

Mayer has received plenty of public support for the project since word of a possible closure came out.  Anyone wishing to help can contact Sharon Mayer through the Pioneer Theatre Facebook page.
