Odd Duck In Spencer

Spencer, IA (KICD)–A duck that isn’t normally seen in this region showed up a few weeks ago in a Spencer resident’s backyard.

Local birder Lee Schoenewe tells KICD News that is is very rare to see a black bellied whistling duck in our neck of the woods.

Schoenewe says the ducks are known to wander off in small groups.
